The first time I went to Le Comptoir Général was - naturally - without knowing anything about it and it was already closed :) If I said it was closed, luckily the door was open so we could go in and see the place, but there was no service. When we entered the main place, they said "we are closed", so we couldn't wander around much :) My second visit in May 2017 was on a Sunday. Actually brunch on sundays But since we went in the afternoon, it was quite quiet. Normally there is nothing to eat other than snacks. In fact, this place feels more like a giant bar than a cafe, and I think the real taste of this place is in the evenings, even at night.
