(Last Update: 02.04.2024) You may be coming to Paris for a long or short time, but this article is for those who will spend a week in Paris. One of the questions I get asked the most is “I'm coming to Paris for so many days, where do you recommend I visit?“. The answer to this question is so long and so personal that it is not possible to give a truly short answer. Moreover bEven as someone who has been to Paris many times before as a tourist and lived in Paris for ten years and has not yet finished exploring Paris, it is so difficult to create standard lists for limited time periods... Still, It is inevitable to draw optimum routes for limited time periods.

That's why, under the name of "Tour Program Suggestions", I try to offer different suggestions whenever I have the opportunity, and to provide an example to make the trips of people who come to Paris easier, depending on the duration or concept. road map I decided to draw. This is our article For those who come to Paris for the first time and stay for a week let it be: A Week in Paris! Oh, and of course there's also the story of people who spent a full week in Paris. my new book A Week in ParisYou can make a great companion for yourself by reading.

If you have been to Paris before or if you will have less time, you can still benefit from this article, choose the ones you have not seen before and create a shorter tour program suitable for you. You can find other sample tour program links at the end of the article…

My One Week in Paris sample tour program suggestion in this article Because it will appeal to general taste priority to the must-haves I will try to offer alternative programs for some days in order to use time more efficiently.

You should also remember that your travel program will be shaped according to the location of your hotel and flight times. Because Thinking of the first and last day as half a day It would be better to prepare a program.

For more detailed information about the places I recommend, just click on the relevant links. Also When to Come to Paris?, Things to Consider When Choosing a Hotel ve Ticket Types in Public Transportation It would also be beneficial for you to read articles such as: You can also see what events are happening in Paris in the upcoming period and find out what interests you. If you want to buy tickets to concerts, theatres, museums, shows and matches and plan your travel program accordingly, Biletix of France one Ticketmaster France's page I also recommend you to review it.

Oh, and I have to say this: You don't need anyone, including me, to discover how to get from one place to another in Paris and its surroundings. When you type the addresses of departure and arrival points into the map application on your mobile phone, it offers you the most suitable options according to that day and time. Of course, don't do everything the application tells you. Those who study Pariste.Net and study well can easily find which one is the most ideal among the options offered.. But I beg you, don't ask me either; Because when you ask me, I go into those applications and look; It is not possible for me to know every place by heart. 😉

If you are ready, here we go: A Week in Paris…

One Week in Paris - One Week Paris Tour Program Suggestion Pariste.Net

To help you enjoy a week in Paris, very briefly I tried to give a program. Some of you may not be able to complete this program due to fatigue, weather conditions, and various priorities. Some of you, as exploration monsters, have completed all the tracks and said "Well, isn't there any more?” he may ask. Of course there is.

for example Europe's largest financial center Defense, from Paris train stations Gare du Nord ve Gare Saint Lazare, which is a great museum Quai Branly Museum, an interesting building Great Mosque of Paris, For the view of Paris from the skyscraper terrace Tour Montparnasse, at opposite ends of Paris two beautiful woodlands Bois de Boulogne ve Bois de Vincennes, If you are interested in antiques and old items giant flea market, a spooky yet interesting place Paris Catacombs – Catacombes, paris with balloon Ballon de Paris and corners of heaven Grand Lac des Ibis, Le Vésinet – Le pecq, Jatte Island There's so much to see and so on. For example, once upon a time To see the hall where the Treaty of Sevres was made Musée National de la Céramique – National Museum of Ceramics'How about we go? Maybe that next time…

Now, when you think your program will end early, you can add a few of these to your list of places to visit that day. Also, consider the part of your trip that falls on Sunday. What to Do on Sunday in Paris? You can look at the article and revise it accordingly.

Even if you've been to Paris before, you can now get out of the city a little further. Giverny, Barbizon beautiful villages such as, Province You can spare a day to see towns such as. more historical medieval city Rouen, wonderful seaside towns Deauville & Trouville, More than a fishing village Honfleur, famous for its cliffs Etretat, of France The most visited place after the Eiffel Tower The Mont Saint Michel, a great one sailor city Saint Malo There are many beautiful places to see around Paris. As you examine these things, you will want to come to Paris a few more times, some of you will be very happy, and some of you will be very angry with me because you cannot decide which one you should see. Alternative 15 Days in Paris When I read my article, I thought "How will we find time to see so many beautiful places?" that you will chase me with a stick I'm sure 🙂

Pleasant trips, pleasant discoveries.

  1. I discovered your site while surfing the net. These were really informative articles. Thank you for your efforts. Everyone's dream is to spend time in Paris, whether for education or travel. I hope I will have the chance to have nice trips. Thanks for the article…

Thank you very much, Ms. İnci. I hope you have nice days and come to Paris as soon as possible. Greetings, love.

    Hello Mr. Ahmet,
Your site helped us a lot with the route we determined during our 6-day Paris trip. I am truly grateful to you for explaining every subject in great detail. I'm sure we would have a hard time without your suggestions on many topics on the site. Also, it is very kind of you to respond immediately to the question I asked about subways on Instagram. Thanks to you, we were able to visit the places we visited comfortably and enjoy them as if we had been there before :) Thanks to your directions on the site, we had no problems with transportation and food. In fact, we were very pleased with the lunch we had at Restaurant Monté Carlo, which you recommended. Le Relais de l'Entrecôte was wonderful! Its taste is still on our palate 🙂 However, the duck we ate at Chartier was a bit disappointing, or maybe I was expecting a very different taste 🙂 Still, the place was very nice.
As for transportation, we wanted to get Navigo from Orly airport, but unfortunately the box office there was closed :) We were able to reach Paris center by buying a ticket. Although it was a bit unfortunate for the first minutes, we were able to get Navigo from the metro later. Navigo was a real life saver, it was the most suitable transportation card for us since we came on Monday and returned on Saturday.
Don't worry about your hands. Thank you again for your efforts, thank you very much.
    Best regards..

      Hello,
I'm so glad you had a nice time in Paris. It is a great pleasure for me to know that what I wrote and shared contributed to this. Thank you very much for all your evaluations. It was unpleasant that the Navigo counter in Orly was closed; I went to Orly a few times just to review. The box office may actually be closed, but it opens after a while. Unfortunately, I cannot understand why it was closed and how long it remained closed. I also agree with you about Chartier; You should not go there with high expectations. You can only go there to eat in a very pleasant atmosphere at a reasonable price in Parisian conditions; Otherwise, it is not one of my favorite places.
Thank you again for your detailed comments and sharing your experiences with us.
I hope you have many nice trips.
      I wish you happy days.

    Greetings,
Coming from Lisbon, we planned our flight to stay in Paris for one day. We followed the route you drew in your article “Paris in a Day” and thanked you every step of the way. It was a wonderful day for us, thank you.

      Hello,
It always makes me happy to see that my articles and suggestions are useful to someone.
      Thank you for your comment.

  4. *Thanks to your articles and videos, we created daily routes for ourselves, so we had no difficulties, and even felt as if we were in a place we knew before :)
*We completed the first day with Eiffel-Arc de Triomphe-Champs Elysees-Jardin des Tuileries and the Louvre. Of course, we did not visit the Louvre. We walked from Etol to the Louvre.
*We designed the second day as Museum du Orsay- Saint Germain-JArdin du Luxemburg-Pantheon-Notre Dame-Saint Chapelle. Luxemburg garden was really enjoyable. (We enjoyed the wonderful sandwiches we bought from Eric Kayser by that beautiful fountain. :) )
*On the third day, we went to Sacre coeur and had our anime painting done at Place du tertre. It was seriously enjoyable :)
Of course, we did not forget the souvenir shops in Montmartre, we found suitable and nice gift options in many shops.
Of course, we did not forget Le mur des Je t'aime, we rested for a peaceful half hour among the bells of the church opposite the park where it is located.
We saw the Moulin Rouge and went to the Opera area, which is close to our hotel. It was also surprising that Garnier was right at the exit of the metro. We did not expect it because it was fascinating to encounter such a building when we got out of the metro. We took a short stroll in Galeries Lafayette.
As you suggested, we did not forget to go to the palace-like Starbucks in Capucines. (It was very nice that even Tr could not write my name correctly in my coffee, but it was written exactly correctly in Paris :) )
*By the way, I would like to add one to the macaron comments. We had the chance to try the macarons of Pierre Herme in the Opera and Laduree in the Champs Elysees. We liked Laduree the most. Its taste is still on our palate.
*Although we don't remember which day it was, we wanted to try onion soup in a bistro. As recommended by our friends, we ordered 2 onion soup for 1 people. Of course, the waiter was a little surprised, but we enjoyed the soup :)
    * Even though we couldn't try many of the French delicacies I wanted to try due to some circumstances of expecting a baby, we were very pleased with what we tasted.
*We generally had dinner at an Italian restaurant right next to the hotel. Although the prices were not very affordable, it was attractive because it was close to our taste.
*The best part of our lunches was Eric Kayser
*After visiting Musee Grevin on the fourth day (I can say that we really enjoyed it), we took short walks in the Eiffel-Champs Elysees and Opera regions, which we wanted to see for the second time.
    * And since the last day was the French National Holiday, many places were closed. We searched many streets for open bakeries and bought baguettes :)
It was delicious enough to be eaten on its own.
And we set off towards the airport.
*The weather was rainy and cloudy almost every day. I can say that we were cold most of the time. But nothing spoiled our fun. In fact, it rained so hard at one point that we had to take shelter in the Grand Palais :)
*It is a myth that the French or people living in France are cold and do not want to speak English or help you :)
Almost everyone we encountered in restaurants or shops was friendly and helpful.
    * We did not experience any security problems as some people mentioned.
*We left Paris happy and tired of traveling.
*As you said, this city is a place you can never get enough of once.

*Thank you very much for your sharing and help.

    • Dear Ms. Sena,
It's a pleasure that you had a nice time in Paris.
This post of yours is very valuable in terms of giving ideas and guidance to those who will have similar experiences. So I thank you very much.
      Life is better when shared.
      Happy Days…

  5. *Our trip was between 10-14 July 2017.
*As a tourist, I wanted to share my experiences with the thought that I could be of some help to your blog.
*We landed at CDG airport on the morning of July 10, it has a different operation than many airports, we waited in line at passport control for about 1 hour, probably from the date we went. (I think it was the only negative thing we experienced in Paris.) We were a little nervous at the airport, but of course the love for Paris did not discourage us.
*We took our Navigos from the airport. It is truly a life saver, it makes you feel safe :)
*Our hotel was in Grand Boulevards upon your recommendation. Acadia from Astotel chain. The hotel allowed us to leave our luggage before check-in and after check-out. It was a great detail that came in handy for us.
Talking about the hotel, we paid an affordable price of 10 Euros for 14-470 July, including breakfast. Moreover, the breakfast was really beyond the French breakfasts we expected. (There was everything from cheese varieties to tomatoes and cucumbers.) The hotel was clean and the snacks and drinks in the lobby in the afternoon were enjoyable. The minibar was replenished with soft drinks every day.

  6. * I met you and the blog you edited when my wife and I decided to travel to Paris.
*I read your articles almost every day. And of course, I realized how appropriate the decision to go to Paris was. 🙂
*We benefited so much from the information you shared that I felt it was my duty to give you feedback.
*We made our travel plans about 8-9 months ago, bought our tickets, and made our hotel reservations. Of course, we did not know that we were expecting a baby when we made this plan. 🙂 Of course it was going to be difficult, but we didn't give up.

  7. It was a nice article. Can you suggest a bridge to hang a lock on?
I tag my son with locks in the cities we visit. If he goes again in the future, maybe he will see it :)

    • Hello,
The locked bridge was actually the Pont des Arts, but the municipality collected all the locks and made a glass railing, so it is no longer hung there. Apart from that, they hang it on almost all bridges, but my grandmother used to say "keeping the lock closed will lead to bad luck", so be careful :)
      Happy Days.

  8. First of all, thank you for your efforts, it is a very nice site and great articles, we read it with great interest. We will come to Paris in 2 weeks and we learned everything from your site and YouTube channel, thank you very much. I haven't been able to read all your posts yet, so I'm sorry if you have written them, but I want to ask something: 'Is there a phone application that will make our trip in Paris easier? 'This could be a map, something like maps made for tourists.

    • Hello,
First of all, thank you very much for your nice comment. In fact, if I could just free myself from work and spare some time, I would love to create Pariste.Net's application, but it is currently in the project phase. Unfortunately, I do not know an application in terms of offline maps and guides, but I guess that the online RATP application will solve all your problems in terms of transportation. I would be very happy if anyone who will read this comment has an opinion on the subject and shares it with us.
      Happy Days.

  9. Out of excitement, I wanted to comment before reading the entire article. What beautiful details and explanation. Thank you very much for your patience and respect. Don't worry about your hands :) Best regards..

  10. How have I not seen this?))) I'll put this in my favorites immediately. I find this batobus thing important for those who go first, I will get on without skipping a beat every time I go, it seems very practical for me to hop on and off between stops.

  11. If you are coming to Paris for the first time and want to do many things, I think the best idea is to take the batobus. There is no need to figure out the metro, that is the case if you come for the second time or if you are staying for a long time! If you open the batobus homepage, you will clearly understand what I mean. You get off the river at 8 very important stops. 1-Louvre, 2-Champs Elysee, 3-Hotel de Ville, 4-Eiffel, 5-D'orsay, 6-Saint Germain, 7-Notre Dame, 8-Jardin des Plantes… .what more! You don't have to worry about which stop or which metro line, or travel between stops as if your ear is upside down. You can visit each of them by bathobus and enjoy the river. Except for the Louvre, if you're quick you might be able to fit two in every day! With one ticket, you can hop on and off as much as you want all day. If you want, buy a 2-day ticket, which I think is the logical thing. If you have Navigo, you can buy the daily ticket, which costs 18 euros, for 10 euros. If I were going for the first time, I would stay for 8 days and buy 4 2-day batobus tickets, allocating one day for each stop and its surroundings.

If you have time, you can take the metro to Sacre Couer, or walk down to Pigalle if you have a free day. Metro is needed for this in the first place, batobus will do the rest.

When you get off at each stop, after wandering around it, if you ask where to hang out in the vicinity, I would say there are many possibilities. For example, Notre Dame, Ile Saint Louis and Saint Michel.

Gray lines are rivers, batobus wheels on the same line until 6 o'clock in the evening.

  12. Hello, we will have a trip to Paris in about 1 month. I am trying to benefit from your site for practical information. My question to you is, is it possible to buy bulk tickets to visit important museums collectively and more economically? For example, I found a site called parispass.com, but it didn't seem very reliable to me. I also think it would be better if we buy it online so that we don't have to wait in line everywhere. What do you recommend?

    • Hello, I have received so many questions on this subject lately that it has become inevitable to write about passes. I have been researching this subject lately because I have never used it. Ultimately, don't worry, that site is very reliable. If it will be more costly to visit the places you want to visit without a pass, then of course it would be a good idea to get a pass. If you're going to visit a few museums, of course you don't need to buy one; it's entirely up to you; In other words, it is a matter of accounting and it completely varies from person to person.
Of course, if you do not buy a pass, you can buy museum tickets online, then it will be easier to avoid the queues.
I will share detailed articles on this subject on the blog in the coming days, I think I will have completed it by the time you arrive.
      happy Days

    • Hello again. An article on this subject would definitely be useful. Since everyone is there for a short time, they want to see the maximum amount of museums and of course they do not want to wait in line. After writing to you, I also found this: http://www.parismuseumpass.com
There was a link on the official website of the Louvre, so it gave me more confidence, and it was more economical and could be purchased from the airport. This seemed more logical to me. Still, I would like to read your article. Enjoy your work.

  13. A very informative article. I have been to most of the places mentioned. However, my advice is to solve METRO TRANSPORTATION first. Otherwise, a lot of time is wasted walking and it becomes tiring.

    • Thanks for your comment. Yes, solving the metro issue may seem a bit complicated on the first day, but once you understand how to read a map, finding the way becomes easier. I tried to give suggestions about metro map reading in my Paris Metro article. Of course, it is not possible without learning by experiencing it firsthand. I hope everyone travels and enjoys Paris with pleasure and comfort.
      Thank you again.
