It is one of the most beautiful Christmas markets held in recent years. Tuileries GardenI think there is a market established for. DefenseThe market place in , looks very interesting among the skyscrapers, but Tuileries GardenThe Christmas Market, which used to be built in Champs-ElyseesIt is as good as the Christmas Markets held in , in fact it is much more beautiful.
Tuileries GardenThe market, built from one end to the other on the Rue de Rivoli side of the city, has a large Ferris wheel at one end. Roue de Parisin the direction of Louvre Museum side, and the other end Jeu de PaumeIt extends up to . There are not only shops and food and beverage venues inside; ice skating, horror house, slide, chain, bumper car Many attractions such as these offer an extremely entertaining world in a sparkling atmosphere. Apart from the ones I have chosen, there are very short-term, interesting Christmas Markets held in different corners of Paris during the Christmas period, but since they are only for a day or two, I do not include them in the main list. You can find the detailed list in the link at the end of the article.
Christmas Markets are generally open from 11 noon to 8 pm. Some of them may be open until 8:XNUMX or XNUMX:XNUMX, but I don't think you should stay after XNUMX:XNUMX. On weekends, it may close an hour or two later. Though Tuileries GardenIt is said that the Christmas Market in , is open until midnight, but I have never experienced it by going at that time; I would be happy if anyone went and shared their impressions with us.
Apart from this, to experience the Christmas atmosphere in Paris, there are specially illuminated buildings during this period. Champs-Elyseescan walk in, Galeries LafayetteYou can look at the magnificent interior decor of; Spring, Le Bon MarchéYou can also see the windows of department stores such as , Samaritaine and BHV.

Every year from the end of November to the beginning of January, this festival of lights, Christmas and New Year The atmosphere can be experienced to the fullest…
So living Christmas in Paris, ringing in the new year in paris It is a very special feeling. I advise you not to miss this beauty. You can better understand what I mean by watching the video below to give you an idea:
You know Christmas is celebrated on the night of December 24 In France, the next day Take into account that many places will be closed on the morning of December 25th Please. In the afternoon, shops begin to open slowly. It would be better if you don't have much of a museum program that day.

Everything you get your heart desires…

HELLO . I TRAVELED TO PARIS 4 YEARS AGO AFTER READING AHMET BEY'S ARTICLES. HE EXPLAINED AND EXPLAINED IT SO BEAUTIFULLY THAT I FELT AS IF I'D BEEN THERE BEFORE. THERE ARE VERY USEFUL AND NICE ARTICLES. A MUST READ BEFORE TRAVELING TO PARIS. THANKS. I AM PLANNING TO GO TO PARIS FOR NEW YEAR THIS YEAR. DO YOU THINK THAT BETWEEN 18-25 DECEMBER WILL BE BETTER FOR SHOPPING AND CULTURE TOUR OR BETWEEN 26 DECEMBER AND 02 JANUARY?
THANKS
Hello, first of all, thank you very much for your valuable comment. There are advantageous situations for both of the date ranges you provide, you decide which one is more important to you. Let me summarize it like this:
Between December 18th and 25th, Paris is the period when Christmas excitement is at its highest, so it becomes much livelier. Christmas holidays begin on the evening of December 24th.
Between December 26th and January 2nd, the excitement of Christmas ends and the excitement of the New Year begins, but it seems to me that New Year's Eve in France is not something that is awaited with as much excitement as Christmas. There are celebrations only on New Year's Eve in the Champs-Elysees, but being out on New Year's Eve in Paris, as in all parts of the world, is not a very sympathetic thing - in my opinion. Since everywhere is on holiday on the morning of January 1, the city is very quiet.
Of course, everyone's tastes and priorities are different, but I would prefer to be in Paris during the Christmas period, unless "entering the New Year in Paris" is not a dream you want to realize.
Have a nice holiday in advance.
Mr Ahmet,
First of all, thank you for your articles. You truly are more than just a reference source for those traveling to Paris.
I will be traveling to Paris on December 3-7. As you stated in this article, the Christmas market will not be held on the Champs-Elysées with the decision taken by the municipality last year. This decision continues this year. As you know, I think the protests against the increase in fuel prices were effective in making this decision. Frankly, the thought that the demonstrations will continue between the dates I travel makes me uneasy. Especially in the photos I saw today on the Champs-Elysées, everything was literally burned to the ground. Is the impact of the demonstrations on daily life noticeable? I wonder what's going on?
Thank you in advance for your reply. Love and respect.
Hello Mr. Oktay,
The reason why the Christmas Market is not held on the Champs-Elysées is - in my opinion - security reasons, but I do not think this has anything to do with the fuel protests, because it was not held last year when there was no such problem. I think there is a general situation regarding the issue of public safety.
The "Gilets Jaunes - Yellow Vests" protests that started last week were a bit sad as "a just demand turned into violence", yes, but things calmed down the day after the protests took place. When I walked through the Champs Elysées yesterday, two days ago, after Saturday's protests, I saw a few places damaged, but everything was cleaned up. I don't know if these protests will continue or how much of an impact they will have, but even if they do, I think they will take place on weekends; I personally do not experience any uneasiness or anxiety. Such claims for justice occur very frequently in France and I am sure that a compromise will be reached on this issue.
I hope you have a trouble-free holiday.
Thank you very much, Mr. Ahmet. I would like to ask you something, even though it is not related to this subject. Could you please write down the closest places we can visit from Eiffel without using a car? I watch your videos all the time, but it seems easier to travel when you write them down. Thank you in advance.
Hello,
First of all, thank you very much.
By the way, I think I can give more detailed and up-to-date information by writing. That's why I have written more than 500 articles on Pariste.Net so far, I update the articles regularly and continue to write new articles.
For my suggestions on what you can do in and around Eiffel, you can check out these two articles:

Happy Days…
As always, great explanation and great updated information, I visited the Paris Christmas Markets years ago with this article. Now that more markets have opened, I'm jealous. I hope we meet again. You are loved dear Ahmet =)
Thank you so much.
Hello, which is the best Christmas market you would recommend?
Hello, since only the Christmas market in La Défense is open at the moment, I cannot say anything until the others open. I am hopeful about the Christmas market in the Tuileries, but since it will be set up there for the first time, we should not say anything without seeing it. It has been announced that it will open today, I will go and check it out at the first opportunity. The biggest Christmas market in Paris is the one in La Défense and I like it more because it's closer to my house.
Hello again,
After seeing the Christmas Market in the Tuileries Garden yesterday, I loved it and immediately updated the article and photos. Therefore, I recommend everyone to visit the market in the Tuileries Garden first. It is especially nice to go in the evening and witness the riot of light begin as the weather gets dark.
