(Last Update: 06.09.2024) In this article, we will eat sweets again and talk sweetly, from one of my favorite chocolatiers in Paris. Maison Georges Larnicol We will get to know him closely.

Those who know me know that I am not a person who is fond of sweets, especially sweets with sugar in them, but chocolate and desserts made with chocolate have a special place in my heart... Especially the smell, oh the seductive smell of that chocolate, that cocoa, how it seduces you. removes it.

Maison Georges Larnicol (mezon joğj lagnikôl) It's actually one of the many chocolatiers in Paris. The reason I mention this place is more than the taste of its products, especially Montmartre wonderful works in their stores. What am I talking about when I say works? You will already understand when you see the photos in the article:

Montmartre Hill In my travel suggestion for the tour, I wrote that you should definitely visit here. Now I will try to detail with text and pictures why you should stop by.

Antwerp metrocome out of the water and go up the slope on the other side Sacré CoeurWhen you see this chocolatier on your left as you climb towards , you may think it is one of the familiar chocolate shops in Paris and miss this interesting place by not going inside. However, if you step inside, in addition to the beautiful desserts on the stalls left and right, you will see the giant chocolate bar standing in the middle. Our Lady I believe that you will be as impressed as I am when you see the model. Although here before Eiffel Tower There was a model but later Our Lady They replaced it with . I mean, when you go, there is a possibility that you will see another monument made of chocolate.

As you admire this giant chocolate artifact and continue inland, you first see the Breton dessert "kouignettes". kouignette (quinyet) is a dessert that is a bit heavy for me, but maybe you might like it. As I said, since it's not chocolatey, I'm less likely to like it. Then at the counter opposite, where the cash register is. to macarons There is a possibility that you will reach here and lose yourself once again... Now, what you buy or not here is entirely up to your taste, but I don't think you will leave empty-handed.

Then, when you turn left into the store, you come across the chocolate counter on your right. From here, you fill your own selection into small bags, buy as much of the variety you want, and pay according to the total weight. Which one should I recommend, they are all beautiful... Anyway A Week in Paris The novel characters in my book also bought these chocolates;

While you're struggling with liking chocolate, you accidentally turn around and a giant chocolate galleon greets you right in front of you. When you see it, your heart goes out; You are both impressed by its magnificence and curious about its mischievous taste :)

Also on the counter on this side meringues It is also available. Maybe they might interest you too.

From here on, when you think everything is over, you go down two or three steps and move on to the next section, where you can see what else there is. chocolate giant Eiffel Tower Do you say, Aphrodite statue? Notre Dame CathedralDetailed sculptures from… Beautiful chocolate works that will amaze you and make your mouth water are waiting for your visit in this tiny area.

I don't know if these are sold or if there will be enough money to buy them, but different objects are sold in smaller sizes, such as cute animals made of chocolate, flowers, cars. The price of these 30€ 60-70 € It can vary between . I like the piano made of chocolate and the red women's high-heeled shoes the most. People can't bear to eat it.

Of course, if you are diabetic, you should not enter this shop. I mean, even if you don't buy or eat anything, isn't there a smell of chocolate and cocoa wafting from inside? Believe me, this is a very, very dangerous place :) Jokes aside, it's been a long time ago. sugar is a kind of poison I convinced myself and I try to consume sugary products very carefully..

That's why one Montmartre I can recommend you to stop by here on your trip.

I usually prefer to stop here at the last stage of the tour and end the day with a nice finale. I walk in and breathe in that chocolate smell; There is no fatigue or anything else; It's like life is chocolate and flowing through my bones :)

MontmartreIf you want to come directly to the store in by public transportation M2 metro All you have to do is get off at the Antwerp station of the line and climb up the hill right in front of you. You will see it shortly on the left. Afterwards too Sacré Coeur ve Montmartre HillIt would be very nice to take a tour in anyway.

  1. Hello Mr. Ahmet,

Thanks to you, we are exploring Paris much faster and with minimum loss of time, and that's why I thanked you through different channels. However, this time I prefer not to thank you for the first time (!). We were fascinated by the artifacts in this chocolate museum, which we went to upon your recommendation. Each one was so incredible that my 3,5 year old daughter had so much fun. But the bad thing is that we left with an average of 1 kilo of chocolate and sweets. Each one was so beautiful that we probably finished it 2-3 times 😀 And we have been dreaming of going again ever since. We are gaining weight thanks to you, Mr. Ahmet, we are complaining :)

Jokes aside, thank you for such a sweet advice. On the other hand, I should also point out that although we bought their macarons, we were not satisfied. I think you should buy macarons from La Durée or Pierre Hermé, who are experts on this subject :)

    Good work.

I haven't eaten chocolate for a long time because I've been on a strict diet for a long time, I had a hard time not having a chocolate crisis even while reading your comment, so it's hard for me too :)
You are absolutely right about macarons, the chocolates here are good, but they are not that successful when it comes to macarons. Even though many of my friends love it, it doesn't make me happy because I eat better ones.
      Thank you.

  2. As per your recommendation, we visited the Montmartre branch and bought macarons, not chocolates. The box and paper bag are kept carefully by my daughter until the new one arrives.
